In 1989, out of financial necessity to “make ends meet”, the dreams and talents of Jeff and Leslie McCarthy were actualized into a fabric shop that has grown into a successful small business. While the beginnings were small, the business has flourished and prospered under the direction of Leslie and her family. Today, Leslie combines her faith-based personal life with her career as she shares her expertise with the community, friends and customers through Making Ends Meet, Inc.
Presently, housed in the yellow cottages on the corner of 7thand Washington Streets in historic downtown Shelbyville, KY, Making Ends Meet is now hailed as a “designers’ delight”. The business, a constant work in progress, continues to grow and evolve into one of the unique places featured in Southern Living as “The Best of the South”. Making Ends Meet is dedicated to making the design process an exciting as well as economical experience. A total of twelve rooms of exquisite fabrics, trims, and accessories, provide a playground for the casual shopper as well as the professional designer.

Whether assisting your choices regarding fabric and color selection or simply transferring “loaner” fabrics to your vehicle, a smile will greet you.
