Making Ends Meet & The Studio of Making Ends Meet will be closed on Monday, September 6, 2010
in observance of Labor Day!  We will re-open on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at 10am.

Many thanks to all of you who came out to our Yard"s" Sale last July 31!!
It was a great success, and thankfully, the rain only lasted for a little while!
We hope that you all enjoyed it and  found some "fabric treasures" too!

At Making Ends Meet, we are always looking for opportunities to help out organizations
in our community!  One of the ways that we were able to do that recently was to involve our
customers by giving them incentive through our weekly special! 
For every pound of dry dog or cat food that a customer brought in, they would receive that
much percentage off of their purchase, up to 25% Off. (i.e. bring 10 lbs. of food receive 10% off)
We were able to collect and donate 130 pounds thanks to our wonderful customers!!
If you know of a worthy cause or have a suggestion for a donation, feel free to contact us.

GET DOLLED UP!!

 The Studio Of Making Ends Meet offered a unique and fun way to
express yourself, create a work of art, AND support our continued
fight against Breast Cancer, all at the same time!!
Owner, Leslie McCarthy, just celebrated her 6th year of being
"Cancer Free"!  Each year she creates and sells a group of dolls,
donating the proceeds to help fight Breast Cancer.  This year she
invited others to create these dolls for the cause!
Customers and artists were able to purchase the life sized stuffed,
cotton dolls, and use them as their "blank canvas"!  They are to use
dyes, paints, inks, fabrics, fibers, beads, papers, stitching, stamping, etc...
Once finished, they are to return their creation to us (due by 9/15/2010).  We will then
sell or auction the doll, with ALL proceeds being donated to Breast Cancer Research.
All artists will be recoginzed on our website, in our store, and various local publications.
When the finished product is turned in to us the artist will receive a $50.00 gift certificate
to Making Ends Meet for their participation, as well as a chance to win the grand prize of $250.00
to Making Ends Meet, and The Studio of Making Ends Meet!
We will keep you posted on the outcome of this cause!! We are hoping for great things!!
